A consulting Study to Identify and Develop Academic Specializations in the Field of Natural Reserves
Project Description:
The wildlife and horticulture training program project contracted with the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate included the objectives of establishing natural reserves, principles of wildlife management and conservation, habitat and biodiversity assessment, and basic techniques used within the reserve, in addition to the foundations of ecotourism.
Activities and Results:
Activities:
- Collecting and analyzing basic information about local universities and relevant government agencies and their role in the reserves and environmental preservation field and coordinating with them to serve the implementation of the study.
- Preparing a study to develop and establish academic programs to qualify and train human cadres in the field of natural reserves, including academic degrees, elements of the proposed study plans, and entities providing the programs.
- Identifying the leading international universities, institutes, centers, and organizations in the environment field, and identifying candidates for concluding agreements with them.
- Preparing a detailed report that includes all elements of the study, to satisfy the requirements of the General Secretariat of the Royal Reserves Council, including the results and recommendations.
Results:

Accepting the final report from the Institute to satisfy the requirements of the General Secretariat of the Royal Reserves Council, including the results and recommendations.
